Chaos!

Ever get that urge to craft, but don't know where to start? All day yesterday I had the urge to craft, couldn't wait for the workday to end. Got home, kicked off my shoes, changed into my comfies... and didn't know what project to work on!

Part of my problem is a lack of organization at the moment, but unfortunately I don't have the means to change that anytime soon. I moved back in with my family a little over a year ago, so I pretty much live out of boxes. Makes it tough to find the supplies needed for certain projects sometimes. But the other part is simply being overwhelmed by the amount of projects I have started and moved away from around half completion!

I'm not lazy or frustrated with these projects... I just get so excited about another project idea that I have to drop everything and experiment with that idea! The result? Dozens of half finished projects and progressive steps into experimentation with others.

I have one afgan that I cannot wait to finish. I used all of my leftover bright colored varigated yarns and made beautiful patterned squares about 8 inches by 8 inches. Using black for contrast I did a single crochet row all the way around each square before stitching them together. The result? A gorgeous array of color that reminds me of a stained glass window. Can't wait to get pictures in here to show you! In addition, a multitude of other scrappy afgans and an afgan made with hexagons in pink.

I also have a quilt that is intended for me started, queen size, and using the Yellow Brick Road pattern. The squares are all completed and simply need to be sewn together! I used a stash of different fabrics, mostly calicos, that I recieved from a lady that closed a fabric shop years ago. Hopefully I can use one of these last winter weekends to put the top together and take it to someone for machine quilting. Other quilts? A fun lap quilt with a focus of cats wearing bandanas and a bunch of fish bones, I call it my pirate kitties! And a green, pink, and brown quilt that my mom and I will finish for my cousin for her graduation.

Cross stitch, rubber stamping, scrapbooking, quilting, knitting, crochet, beading, cake decorating... I can't get enough of different types of crafting! An addiction, but I don't think an intervention will be necessary :)

Welcome!

Welcome to Clever's Corner! Stemming from my web involvement with Etsy.com, this blog will serve to promote my own creations as well as those of my fellow etsians! Each week I will have a feature of arts dedicated to cats, chosen by my own feline friend, Lily. Well, maybe I'll help her out... In addition, I'll be running different promotions and giveaways through my friends at Etsy, and of course keeping you all up to date on my own crafting projects!
